The governor of New Jersey reported a fire at the Seaside Boardwalk that destroyed 4 blocks, 32 businesses, and burned 20 others was 95 percent contained September 13. The cause of the September 12 fire was unknown but the governor of New Jersey committed State support in the blaze that also left three officers injured. The president of Van Natta Asset Management in Seymour pleaded guilty September 12 to submitting false documentation to financial institutions in order to defraud banks of more than $10 million between 2007 and 2009. The man was sentenced to 60 months in prison following the guilty plea. Eight members of the Armenian Power gang pleaded guilty in Los Angeles to participating in a scheme that used skimming devices to obtain debit card information from customers at 99 Cents Only stores and then making fraudulent transactions that stole more than $2 million from victims' bank accounts. 32. September 13, SC Magazine – (International) Website on malware analysis infects visitors, leads to Zeus-laden spam. Hackers compromised the Web site PracticalMalwareAnalysis and are using it to spread the Pushdo botnet malware. Infected systems are then used as part of the botnet to send out spam emails containing the Zeus trojan.
