(New York) Oil truck crash shuts roads, stores. A Lone Energy semi-truck
carrying 8,000 gallons of fuel overturned and spilled thousands of gallons of
oil prompting authorities to close the roundabout at Route 9, Route 9H and
State Farm Road, in Kinderhook for nearly 5 hours September 12. Route 9H, south
to Keegan Road, remained closed for an additional 3-4 hours for cleanup.

power failure at a west Trenton data center caused many of New Jersey’s State
Web sites to crash September 12. The State’s Web sites were restored about 5
hours later while restoration of internal office functions took nearly 8 hours.

Boardwalk, injures 3 officers. The governor of New Jersey reported a fire
at the Seaside Boardwalk that destroyed 4 blocks, 32 businesses, and burned 20
others was 95 percent contained September 13. The cause of the September 12
fire was unknown but the governor of New Jersey committed State support in the

including one on a wildlife refuge. The flooding also affected a waste water
treatment plant, caused the evacuation of an RV park, and caused authorities to

admits guilt in banking scheme. The president of Van Natta Asset Management
in Seymour pleaded guilty September 12 to submitting false documentation to
financial institutions in order to defraud banks of more than $10 million
between 2007 and 2009. The man was sentenced to 60 months in prison following

11, Associated Press – (California) Eight Armenian Power gang members plead guilty
to fraud, other charges. Eight members of the Armenian Power gang pleaded
guilty in Los Angeles to participating in a scheme that used skimming devices
to obtain debit card information from customers at 99 Cents Only stores and
then making fraudulent transactions that stole more than $2 million from

(International) Website on malware analysis infects visitors, leads to
Zeus-laden spam. Hackers compromised the Web site PracticalMalwareAnalysis
and are using it to spread the Pushdo botnet malware. Infected systems are then
used as part of the botnet to send out spam emails containing the Zeus trojan.
