3. January 6, Hartford Courant – (Connecticut) Lawyer pleads guilty in “Operation Running Man” insurance scheme. A Bridgeport lawyer pleaded guilty January 3 to running a large insurance fraud scheme involving victims of minor traffic accidents and several health professionals that defrauded 10 insurers of up to $2.5 million between 2006 and 2010. Six others previously admitted to their roles in the scheme, including recruiting accident victims, submitting fraudulent medical claims, and issuing prescriptions. Source: http://www.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-haddad-guilty-plea-20140103,0,995779.story
