 • Pacific Gas and Electric was fined $14.4 million by the California Public Utilities Commission for the utility’s delay in reporting that its records for a natural-gas pipeline in San Carlos failed to show potentially risky welds. – San Francisco Chronicle

• Advanced Technology, a police outfitter in Las Vegas, was burglarized, resulting in at least $100,000 worth of damage to the shop and enough stolen equipment to outfit four to five police vehicles. – KVVU 5 Las Vegas
