government acknowledges gaps in oil well inspections. The U.S. Department
of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) acknowledged that it failed
to inspect oil and gas wells it considers high risk as noted in a Government
Accountability Office investigation. The BLM failed to conduct inspections on
over 2,100 high priority wells that require inspections due to the potential

franchise owner admits to POS hacking. A former owner of several southern
California Subway restaurants and operator of point-of-sale device company POS
Doctor pleaded guilty May 14 to selling POS systems to at least 13 Subway
stores, using remote login software on the devices to load value onto gift
cards, and then selling the cards online. The scheme involved a second man who
previously pleaded guilty, and sales of POS devices to Subway franchises in

8. May 14, KGUN 9 Tucson – (Arizona) Police arrest several in connection with
international credit card fraud ring. Police in Tucson arrested six
individuals allegedly involved in an international payment card fraud scheme
after an investigation and search warrants yielded several hundred credit
cards, forgery equipment, and computer storage devices containing credit card
information. Tucson and federal authorities are continuing to investigate.

investment fraud scheme. A Fort Lauderdale lawyer and former head of
Commodities Online LLC indicted on an alleged $19 million investment fraud
scheme went missing after failing to show up for a federal court hearing. A
judge issued a warrant for his arrest and the FBI stated that he should be

Yokogawa control system products. The Industrial Control Systems Cyber
Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) reported May 14 that Yokogawa Electric
Corporation made patches available for three vulnerabilities identified in its
Yokogawa Centrum CS3000 production control system. The Centrum CS line is used
for several industrial uses such as in oil refineries, steel manufacturing,
